The Scuderia Glickenhaus Nürburgring 24 Hours competing racecar just set a new lap record at the Hockenheim ring by a whole four seconds over the previous record-holder — a Porsche 918 Spyder.
Racing game Assetto Corsa’s Dream Pack 2 of add-on content is pretty special: not only does it include the Circuit of Catalunya, but now you can race a car with the Jalopnik bump, right there, in the game. We’re right there on the Scuderia Glickenhaus SCG 003’s rear fender.
Fifty years from now, when a retired journalist writes a book about Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus and the SCG 003, it will be the tale of David and Goliath full of nice pictures and adjectives like ‘legendary’ and ‘astonishing’. And it won’t be far off the truth.

Yes, unfortunately Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus lost one car for this weekend when Maccinadue hit a wall at 200 km/h at the Kesselchen during practice yesterday. The good news is that everybody is fine as Jim’s safety measures worked perfectly.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus didn’t leave anything to the last minute with the SCG 003C, and the team was pretty much ready to hit the Ring on Tuesday already. I drove all night to make sure I got to the Ring in time for the Jalopnik bump(s) to be added to the SCG 003’s livery before it was shown to the public in the nearby village of Adenau. That’s at least ten extra horsepower right there, success is inevitable.
Just a friendly reminder that not only is James Glickenhaus a certifiable bad ass, but he also has a wicked sense of humor.
And yes, for a 700 mile drive that takes eleven hours on the Autobahn, I’ll take the BMW. It’s a brown diesel wagon, no manual I’m afraid, but we can’t have everything.

While the Nürburgring Nordschleife is the last place I'd expect to have noise limits, there was one in place for the ill-fated VLN Race #1, where two of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus' SCG 003 cars were racing this weekend. Both cars got black flags for noise. Turn down for what?
