Want the 2014 Corvette Stingray
Want the 2014 Corvette Stingray
At first we thought the 2014 Corvette would have 450 horsepower and 450 pound feet of torque. Then, this weekend we heard the power figures could be 455 horsepower, 460 pound feet. But both were wrong. The Stingray will come out of the factory with 460 horsepower and 465 pound feet. Not too shabby.
As a fan of comic books and their movie adaptations (well, some more than others) I've kind of wondered what Captain America would drive. The dude missed out on 70 years of cars because he was a frozen Cap-sicle. He'd have a lot to catch up on, right?
We've seen loads of pictures of the 2014 Corvette. We know the specs. But we don't yet know how much it costs. However, this contest from General Motors may shed a little light on that.
Jalopnik has already shown you the new Corvette Stingray
The new Corvette Stingray looks like it's from 30 years into the future compared to the outgoing C6 Corvette. Inside and out, it's a pretty sharp car. But you know what would be even more wonderful? If it also came in that most under-appreciated of bodystyles, the shooting brake.
The folks at Corvette7 got to sit in a pre-production 2014 Corvette prototype, and they noticed it has two PSI gauges. Does this prove that forced induction is in the Stingray's future?
This is it, ladies and gentlemen: the 2014 Corvette Convertible headed to the Geneva Motor Show in just a few days.
Attention, people of Europe! See the big yellow truck in that photo? The 2014 Corvette Convertible is inside, and it's on its way to the Geneva Motor Show.
Pricing hasn't yet been announced for the upcoming 2014 Corvette, but if it's anything like the outgoing Corvette C6, it will start around $50,000. But there's a possibility that Chevrolet is working on an even less expensive "budget Corvette."
