The No. 1 Porsche 919 claimed its third win in a row at the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas today, taking the win ahead of both initially dominant Audi cars, who ran into mechanical issues and contact during today’s race.

This weekend’s pole-sitting No. 7 Audi Sport Team Joest R18. Audi locked out the front row for tomorrow’s race at Circuit of the Americas. Given that everyone here is covered in sweat right now, I think the theory that the R18 is the best LMP1 car in the heat may have something to it.
