Small cars are getting bigger and bigger. This is a fact. Blame safety standards, blame the changing tastes of the public, blame the fact that human beings are incredibly fat. Even the new Smart Fortwo is growing in size — it now dwarfs many large commercial trucks.
Smart just unveiled this new promotional campaign, and while it's clearly a joke, it's a really good one.
In it they trump the benefits of "the biggest city car ever," including being able to locate it more easily when it's parked somewhere, easily accommodating eight foot humans, and displacing massive amounts of air so other cars can efficiently draft behind it.
I've never been a fan of the Smart car, but you can sign me up for this one! Now I can finally feel comfortable when I drive one in Texas.
