We met Christian von Koenigsegg, the father of Sweden's hypercars, while he was hanging out at Spyker's stand at the Geneva Motor Show. He told us something quite juicy there — that in about 10 years or so, automobile engines won't have camshafts anymore. He's been working on his camless engines for a while.
Many companies have been toying around with the idea, including Renault, BMW, General Motors, Ricardo, Lotus, Ford and Valeo. Fiat employs electro-hydraulic variable valve actuation technology in its Multiair engines. Still, with no official prototypes in sight apart from Cargine's, 10 years seems like a tight deadline.

We will see, but for now, here is something slightly more traditional: Christian's 100th car, the Agera Hundra.
