Last month we told you about the special edition Italian Shooting Brake that would be on all of the Christmas lists of whoever actually buys exotic cars from luxury department store catalogs. Upon going on sale the 10 limited edition Neiman Marcus Ferrari FF's were sold out within 50 minutes.
It seems the extra $95,000 of the special edition FF's $395,000 price tag may have made impulse buyers think for a few minutes about the decision to purchase a Ferrari from a catalogue. Last year the company offered a special edition Camaro in their Christmas book. All 100 examples sold within the first three minutes they were on sale.
Perhaps the best reason to purchase a Ferrari FF is that buyers will be cutting the wait time for delivery of their new FF. While those who bought an FF from a dealer could be waiting up to two years for delivery, the Neiman Marcus shooting brakes will be delivered in the spring of 2012.
Catalogue Ferrari buyers will get special paint on their cars and a commemorative plaque inside it. Also included in the package is a trip to the Ferrari Winter Driving Experience in Aspen, CO. Nothing was mentioned about a special edition fire extinguisher.
