Jim Glickenhaus' amazing one-off Ferrari P4/5 Competizione's finally complete, on the track, and better looking than we could have ever imagined. And we spent a lot of time imagining it. First photos and test report below.
Jim Glickenhaus is the Lorenzo de Medici of cars — supporting historically and intellectually significant works — and this latest product may just be his David (although made out of an F430 Scuderia instead of marble). Here's the first report from the track:
The test was fine, or better fantastic. The car is so easy to drive and all the controls light and very direct. The circuit was very short but I was able to go up to the 3rd gear. Engine and gearbox very light.
It's in testing as it prepares for this year's 24 Hours of the Nurburgring, where it'll run under an American banner.
