Donald Trump and his campaign to be the president once again need money. You know who says he has money? Elon Musk, the second richest person on Earth. It’s a match made in “guys who suck” heaven; Trump and his team are apparently looking for additional donors to shore up his finances ahead of his general electric rematch with President Biden in November, and who better than Musk to help him out? - Andy Kalmowitz Read More

Living near an airport can be everything from dangerous to downright disruptive. People who usually live near these airports and their busy areas of traffic often try to get things at the airport changed, but it’s usually unsuccessful. One household in Washington D.C., though, took things to a whole new level by issuing over 7,000 complaints against Reagan National Airport in a single year. - Lawrence Hodge Read More

A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security checkpoint after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted a ground stop at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT) in Little Rock, Arkansas, US, on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.

The Transportation Security Administration is testing new self-screening checkpoint lanes at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The new process promises passengers shorter wait lines without the hassle of taking off shoes and outerwear or removing electronics from carry-on bags. While the smoother procedure will be welcomed, it raises the question of whether the prior two decades of security theater were even worth it. - Ryan Erik King Read More

Everyone makes mistakes. That’s just the reality of life. And whether it’s forgetting a new coworker’s name or pulling into the wrong driveway, rarely does anyone deserve to die for making a simple mistake. Thankfully, a New York judge agreed, sentencing Kevin Monahan to 25 years to life for the 2023 shooting death of Kaylin Gillis, the Associated Press reports. - Collin Woodard Read More

Front 3/4 view of a silver 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack
Photo: Dodge

We’re just gonna cut to the chase on this one, because there’s a lot to cover; Dodge just unveiled the 2024 Charger, which is entering production in mid-2024 with fully electric powertrains but will gain an internal combustion inline-6 option next year. Its styling sticks close to the concept from 2022, and the new Charger will surprisingly be available with either two or four doors. The all-wheel-drive Charger Daytona EV will be the quickest and most powerful muscle car you can buy thanks to the Scat Pack’s 670-hp powertrain — and the demise of the Chevy Camaro ZL1 and Ford Mustang GT500. And it’s got that Fratzonic exhaust that offers “Hellcat levels of sound intensity” and can even be revved, among other rad performance features like Line Lock and Donut modes. - Daniel Golson Read More

Miami Beach is known as one of the spring break capitols of the country, with thousands of college-age youths swarming the warm beaches for a weekend of underage drinking, partying, and causing havoc. After decades of putting up with the tradition, the town is pulling out all the stops to crack down on the mess that spring break has become. In addition to banning all short-term rentals in the city, parking prices for visitors in March will be jacked way up, many lots will be closed, towing prices are doubled, plate readers and DUI checkpoints will be in place. - Bradley Brownell Read More

The whole thing seemed like a messy event and, after some finger-pointing and speculation, it looks like we now know who the real owner of the truck is and who likely crashed it; A rapper you’ve probably never heard of. - Lawrence Hodge Read More

Rivian R1T and R1S
Photo: Rivian

We’re big fans of both the Rivian R1T and R1S. They’re just darn good vehicles that happen to be electric and also happen to be ridiculously quick. You’ll even soon be able to charge them at Tesla’s Superchargers. Unfortunately, with base prices starting just north of $70,000, they’re pretty expensive. That’s where the upcoming R2 comes in. It’s supposed to be a smaller, less-expensive vehicle that a lot more people can afford. And if the specs that were supposedly leaked are accurate, it sounds like Rivian already has a hit on its hands. - Collin Woodard Read More
