The ELR coupe was Cadillac’s first attempt at a plug-in hybrid — the second being the equally rare CT6 PHEV — and it was a spectacular flop. Only on the market for three years, only 2,958 ELRs were ever made. Now, more than eight years after the last ELR rolled off the production line, they’re starting to show up for cheap, and I may have found the cheapest ELR to date. - Lawrence Hodge Read More
Now is a good time to shop for a used electric vehicle. With so many EV models in a depreciation freefall, buyers can get a lot of car for their money. Of course with big discounts come some concessions, but buyers willing to roll the dice on a Jaguar I-Pace EV can score a high-dollar car, at a reasonable price. - Tom McParland Read More
There is a saying among Ferrari owners that your first Ferrari has to be red. You can pick a more esoteric exterior paint in your subsequent machines from Maranello, but your first foray into the brand should be the typical and iconic Rosso Corsa, or some derivation thereof. This twelve-year-old 458 Spider has all the trappings of a first Ferrari, and the added benefit of an ultra cheap price tag, thanks to its salvage Florida title, and that it’s going through a Copart auction. For centuries, humanity has labored to answer one evasive question: What’s the best car? Is it something sleek and luxurious, something comfortable and capable, or something stripped-down and built for speed? Well, as it turns out, the answer is none of the above. The best car is a pink Suzuki Sidekick. Thanks for playing, everyone, but we have a winner. - Steve DaSilva Read More
When the Volkswagen ID 4 was first introduced, it withstood serious criticism for a variety of reasons, but the one feature that everyone seemed to have a hatred for was its infotainment system, with a special deluxe level of disdain for the car’s unilluminated touch-sensitive climate control and volume sliders. - Logan Carter Read More
This week’s reader has a $30,000 budget to upgrade to a newer daily driver.
While somewhat rough-looking, today’s Nice Price or No Dice E3 is promised by its seller to be totally solid underneath. Let’s see if the price tag also makes for a solid deal. - Rob Emslie Read More
