The Ferrari FXX K Sounds Exactly Like A Formula One Car Should

That everyone’s been lamenting the Hoover-ish sound of Formula One cars of late isn’t exactly news. But what’s lost in the mix is the question of what exactly an F1 car should sound like. Probably loud, with a big scream layered over a ferocious growl, right? Well then listen to the Ferrari FXX K, the LaFerrari track car.

And yes, this is really just a tease as all the FXX Ks are sold out, so unless you know a current owner whose willing to trade it in for a 2014 Toyota Corolla, you’re SOL.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t all enjoy it on the track at Imola, as it snarls, spits, and generally yells at you for all the ills in the world, especially that one thing you did in third grade, it knows what you did.

For real they just need to make a racing series for these already.

WHO IS THIS CAR FOR?

I get it, people have track dedicated cars, but when you are putting 3 million dollars into the thing from the factory, who are you racing against?

Are their secret races somewhere where people with FXX’s and P1’s and the like actually race? Where are these happening? I want to go to there.

Alternatively, people are spending what it costs to build a half dozen schools in the developing world to just go around a track by themselves? I don’t get it.
