Customer - “What’s the daily rental cost for the Shelby”

I saw one of these things in the mountainous flesh a few days ago at a Hobby Lobby.

It certainly has...presence. Like having a life-sized marble statue of yourself on your coffee table.

It’s just so damn big. Like, I know that Escalades and Suburbans are big, too, but somehow they don’t appear any bigger than a Read more

Might be different in the states, but up in Canada you can get it with a 180 hp engine that gives equivalent performance to the Soul. Which I think is near enough / good enough to be a viable alternative. Read more

I saw a ton of these in San Diego when I lived there there in the 2000s. Terrorizing the I-5 before we all even knew that the Altima would be terrorizing the entire country’s highways today. It’s fucking sad what Nissan has become. But one would argue that the release of that generation’s Altima was the same timeframe Read more

but at the end of the day what probably cost the Viper a lot of sales in it’s time was being manual-only. Read more

The unfortunate thing (depending on one’s perspective) is they did move the Viper upmarket for Gen 5 anyways, and the high initial price/poor strategy led to slow sales out of the gate, price reductions, and ultimately the car’s cancellation. Without the Firepower or anything else to show for it either. Read more

What would have drawn in customers is that it has an automatic. People can bash automatics all they want and I’m certain the ‘save the manual’ crowd is still grasping at what they can, but at the end of the day what probably cost the Viper a lot of sales in it’s time was being manual-only. This and the Ford Shelby GR-1 were two of my favorite concept cars. Yes, I have a type.

My Crosstrek is a Carvana car from Texas. It’s got overspray on the interior (they didn’t remove the door card before spraying, or left a window open, or something), and when I got it, it had paint on the front tires. The front bumper obviously doesn’t fit right. Clean Carfax, and Carvana swears they know nothing Read more

I work at one of the vehicle processing companies and I am incredibly impressed with the new Sportage. I did get to drive it but just around the parking lot, which is why I asked if there were any component differences for X-Pro and other trims. I do believe springs and shocks are different for them, but not sure if Read more

With GM’s new Price Protection™, you’ll pay what we told you’ll pay when you signed sale order with us, and not a penny more. The customer should feel safe knowing that with Price Protection™, they pay the mutually agreed on price, and not some BS loophole markups we shouldn’t be able to do, but somehow have in the Read more

Lots of detail about the transmission please. This has been the single biggest thing (after the comically bad nav interface) that has plagued the high performance Lexus vehicles. I mean BMW and Audi have tuned the ZF 8HP to perfection in their mid level sport sedans (S5 / 340) for years but ISF GSF LC with decent Read more

Nice. Testament to its design. I mean I love them and think they’re gorgeous but I wondered if it was a little understated for the masses. And in acknowledging you calling it an “old person’s car”, my grown son makes fun of me for liking it. And I am old. But I tell him to fuck off because, damn, it’s gorgeous. Read more

That’s good! She wouldn’t be interested in older men! I think we’d keep this for a long time, something she drives to work 2-3 days a week and for us to enjoy on weekends (hopefully without the kids) and going on dates, together. Read more

Other than the obvious presence a super car has driving down the road, these things always catch my eye and they look stunning.
