Thanks for the info. As much as I’d prefer those 17" wheels, the X-Line sounds good enough for me, then. Read more

As a maybe Lexus dealer, I can say that the GX is not bigger than the RX. It’s actually smaller in every exterior dimension except height. We have never had anything in the giant people mover category. Infiniti as a brand subsisted on QX60 sales as a result of us not having any non-minivan minivans on offer. Lexus Read more

I think his gripe about too much for too little is totally valid though. For how bat-shit reliable and good off-road they are, the4Runner/Tacoma drive and get fuel economy like a truck that’s 10 years older then they actually are. If you aren’t buying a 4Runner solely for it’s vibes, or to mercilessly beat shit out of Read more

I have a 2009 XLR-V in Electra Blue. Only 1 of 11. I bought it 5 years ago with 37k miles on it. Paid $35k for it. The dealer had it for a year and could not sell it, so I finally got a deal. It is a fun car and turns heads. Worse than the tail lights are the headlights. They are also unavailable. If they get cloudy, Read more

I am fortunate to have an excellent credit score and very little debt, but it makes my blood boil that the mere act of applying for credit lowers one’s score. I deeply resent that we are dependent on the big credit bureaus, but we have no say in their operations, not do they have much regulatory oversight. Read more

Damn right you should whine. I’m right there with you. What KIA and Hyundai are doing is outright inexcusable. They deserve to go out of business for having so many affected engines with the consumption issue. It’s not right and not fair to the customer. My oil issues began at 78,000 miles on my 2017 KIA Sorento LX 4 Read more

Went thru all the comments. None about the hairline crack that occurs near the drain plug. Just replaced an oil pan on a 2018 Sonata with 132k. The lower body cover was caked in crud mixed with oil. I used a putty knife to scrape it off. Probably a good ten pounds lighter now. Read more

My parents went through this exact thing with their 2017 Santa Fe Sport! Same excessive oil consumption, same nonsense from the dealer, same promise from Hyundai corporate to cover the cost of an engine replacement and loaner car (they got a new Corolla sedan w/ CVT). Only, in their case, Hyundai actually pulled Read more
