Watch Legendary Racing Driver Walter Röhrl Crash A Porsche 918

There is no question Walter Röhrl is a great driver, one of the greatest. His wins in the gnarliest years of the World Rally Championship cannot be overstated, warrant enough for a position as Porsche's best-known development and test driver. And here he is stuffing the dearly-departed Porsche 918 Spyder into a wall.

Seems timely for another reason.

In any case, Röhrl got to go out in a Martini-paint 918, and managed to crash the AWD hyper-hybrid.

Röhrl told Auto Bild that there must have been something in the road. He said he'd gone through the same corner and it was playful at full throttle.

Hey man, if you're not crashing, you're not driving hard enough.
