This Is A Jump. For Cars. On The Side Of A Cliff.

This is one of the gnarliest jumps I've ever seen in the rally world. Why? Because it's on the side of a cliff.

You're watching the 2006 Rallye International du Valais near Martigny and Sion, Switzerland. The jump in question isn't taken particularly fast, nor does it launch the cars very far.

The jump launches the cars high and short, bottoming out their suspension. that's not good for car control, and that's especially not good when you have a stone wall on your left and a cliff drop on your right.

As our own Bullitt Ride said, this is when you trust your navigator and thank your pacenotes.
