Seeing prototypes hitting the streets here only means we’re one step closer to finally getting the 2017 Honda Civic Type R stateside.
This white prototype, sporting manufacturer plates, was spotted near the American Honda headquarters in Torrance, California, according to the video’s uploader, thedailyrey. The giant wing, big rims and the dual center exhaust are all a dead giveaway.

There is no confirmation yet on what engine the Type R will use, but it’s most likely going to be the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that’s found in the current Type R, but with 340 horsepower (we think) to the front freakin’ wheels. Manual? Of course.
It’s starting to feel like Christmas.
