Since the P1 recently ceased production, McLaren Special Operations came up with a special one for the brand’s first full three-tier model lineup display at the Geneva Motor Show, which includes an MSO 675LT Spider as well.
McLaren moves to a new, bigger stage at the Geneva Motor Show, and to celebrate the occasion, they will have more very fast objects on display than ever before. Starting with the 2016 GT3 racer and a bespoke 675LT Spider.
All 500 examples of the 675LT Spider have sold out already, but I guess it’s always worth looking at the details of a sports car with 666 horsepower, 516 lb ft of torque and a top speed of 204mph. This particular LT Spider also sports a Ceramic Grey paint job from the MSO Defined range with even more visible carbon fibre. The ‘Longtail’ is finished in body color on the upper surface with the lower plane showing the natural carbon fibre weave. The alcantara seats have xenon yellow contrast stitching, painted handling and powertrain rotary controls and gold detailing in engine bay with a 24-carat gold heat shield around the titanium exhaust system.
As for the latest P1 customer project, MSO came up with a naked carbon body in “Lio Blue” tinted lacquer. The full visual carbon fiber body conversion only became available from Woking in January, and this is the first time we can see it.
This upgraded P1 also got black alcantara trim with contrasting blue stitching, gloss black wheels and a 24-carat gold exhaust heat shield like you’d find in an F1. It is pretty fantastic.
