The Cops Are Looking Into The Ferrari F50 Wakeboarding Video
TaxTheRich's Ferrari F50 wakeboarding video was pretty sick, wasn't it, brah? One group of folks in England definitely didn't think so: the cops. They're looking into whether any laws were broken during the filming. Lame!
Here's the account given to the Daily Mail, normally the worst English-language publication in the world but useful here because it has quotes:
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: 'The footage showing the wakeboarder and the Ferrari has been brought to the attention of Lincolnshire Police.
'We will examine it to establish if any offences have been committed. It appears that there may be issues concerning excessive speed and the manner in which the car was driven.'
LAME. The video starred 19-year-old wakeboarding star Jorge Gill and was shot in the Maud Foster Drain north of Boston in Lincolnshire. They claimed he was pulled along at speeds of up to 84 mph.
I reached out to one of our friends at Tax The Rich for comment and will update if I hear back.
Update: Here's a comment from our top secret source at Tax The Rich:
The Daily Mail writes general bullshit, it's well known here. I think it's more of a call to action!
It would have been a crime not to do it!
