Do you remember when Chevrolet turned the Camaro into supercar-smashing track monster? Even with the Hellcat taking all the hype these days, it’s hard to beat the mighty Camaro Z/28. Now you can pick up some awesome Z/28s with $25,000 discounted off the MSRP.

With an MSRP of about $75,000 Chevrolet might have overestimated the market for a track focused muscle car. That’s bad news for Chevy, but good news for you. According to Autotrader, there are 60 Camaro Z/28s listed for sale right now under $60,000.

For those of you who think Dodge’s 707 horsepower Hellcat is the king of the muscle cars, let’s recap what the Z/28 brings to the table. You get a 500 HP naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8, because forced induction is for suckers. The Z/28 will get to 60 MPH in four seconds flat. That’s a half-second slower than the Hellcat, but the Z/28 also has carbon-ceramic brakes because sometimes you want to stop RIGHT NOW.

Also in the arsenal are DSSV adaptive dampers, which work on some combination of witchcraft and alien technology. This means that unlike the Hellcat, you can actually take a corner with some significant speed and probably leave a Porsche in your dust.

Our former IEC Travis Okulski, who I imagine has some understanding of both roads and tracks, said the Z/28 is “Pants-shittingly fast around a race track.” Do you have any excess pants that you would like to ruin on a racecourse? Of course you do, who needs pants anyway?

What are you waiting for people? Screw that “December to Remember” crap. No one wants a boring ass Lexus with an oversized bow. This holiday season, treat yourself to what may be the best Camaro ever made to date.
