The McLaren P1 does 0-62 in 2.8 seconds. 62-0? 99 feet. Please push back your eyeballs. 0-186 mph takes only 16.5 seconds, which makes it 5.5 seconds faster than the legendary F1. That's two decades of development for you, in Volcano Yellow.
Now that the first production car has been delivered in Woking (which didn't go to Jay Leno but a British customer), McLaren confirmed the specs once again to show us how awesome their car really is.
Ok, so it's 916 horsepower from the 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 and the electric motor. You also get 34 mpg (8.3 l/100km on the EU combined cycle or about 28 MPG US), with CO2 emissions of 194 g/km. That makes it friendlier to polar bears than the new Range Rover Sport, with the electric motor giving you 6.8 zero emissions miles as well in full electric mode.
