Sometimes when you're rallying through the countryside, you underestimate a corner and make a mistake that ends your day. Sometimes that day ends with a broken car, sometimes it ends with a trip to the hospital. Enjoy one of each.
P.S. You know the Subie driver feels a lot better about his day after the Peugeot pwnage.

I've had one too many of those days so far in my short rally career :( Much better that the Pug driver however.
That was an extremely impressive flip.
I've seen a ton of rally crashes, and this one is probably the worst. I was literally left with my mouth open in amazement.
I'd be shocked if neither of the Peugeot's occupants tossed his cookies.
my teeth clacked together as i watched that Pug decelerate. my word. can you imagine had that been a Renault Alliance, the fireball that would ensue?
I'm not gonna lie to you guys, I could watch that clip all day. It makes me feel like rainbows and kittens insde.
@DidntYouHear:
Well, there's a crash very similar to the 2nd one, but when it shoots up in the air and flips, it vaults over a spectator!
Here's the video.

Uh god, terrible! The Pug goes from ~70 to ~15 in a quarter second. The occupants are strapped in real tight, so I can only imagine the psi generated from those belts across their bodies. Drainage culverts suck ass!
While that video is very old, it still mesmerizes me everytime I see it.
Does anyone know which country this is?
Duh. It's Europe.
Europe is not a country. It is a state of mind. Or a continent. Or the authors of "The Final Countdown," my favorite definition.
This is a terrifying example of bad pacenotes...
While we're on the subject, here's some video of the best and worst lines through a corner on the Tahola stage of last weekend's Doo Wop rally in Washington.

Just makes me miss Group B all the more. (sigh)
@Jon:
I love how they're edited to get worse and worse. When the last one came up, I thought he saved it by driving up on the slope, but it appears his suspension was deranged by the shock.
@br549:
Or he was deranged by the shock, hard to say.
Video has been removed?
Europe is so a country:

See? Europe! America! It's got them all!
Jon: That video was pretty awesome. I especially liked how the driver of the MR2 was so disoriented that he powered himself into a ditch after hitting that embankment.
