Apparently when you buy the new Transformers DVD going on sale October 16th, you'll find a special insert inside with a website address from the folks at Chevrolet. At the website you'll be able to do the normal stuff like sign up for marketing information and probably even play the Build Your Own Chevybot game. But there'll also be one additional thing you'll be able to do. A tipster just informed us you'll also have the opportunity to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro dressed up to look like everyone's favorite Autobot, Bumblebee. After having the chance to drive the drop-top concept version ourselves, we can conclusively tell you it's possible to have both a robogasm and a cargasm at once. Trust us. Full report below the jump.
One piece of news I believe is already being circulated that I can confirm is Chevrolet's involvement with the upcoming "Transformers" DVD launch. In the DVD, you will find a special insert from Chevrolet. Open the insert and you find a website address to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the Bumblebee Camaro. The website will offer you the opportunity to sign up for information on the upcoming Camaro launch. The DVD and the website will be available on October 16, 2007. The sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the U.S. and Canada, except in the Province of Quebec, over the age of 18. Make sure you sign up to win a very unique Camaro and for updates on the launch including upcoming Camaro appearances.

Will these 3 cars also be missing their brake calipers?
I don't do house work.
So how was the drop top? Got any interior shots? Me want details! And yes I feel guilty for liking this car so much, but what can I say? It appeals to my inner mullet.
@SwatLax: Those aren't bare brake discs you are looking at... those are brake dust shields. they always confuse everybody. I think they suck myself... what? you cant wash your rims once a week?
@dolo54: There's a link in the article to my "review."
@SwatLax: Gosh, one would hope not!
Hm, may just get me to buy the dvd instead of just downl... err obtaining it other ways.
@dolo54: Actually, the movie cars have 20" steelies with hubcaps that have a brake rotor cast into them. I saw one of these cars about two weeks ago at a car show here in San Diego.
Even the potential to win a new car is not enough incentive for me to buy the DVD. I'm still trying to get back the 2+ hours I wasted watching the movie in the first place.
So do you need a code from the dvd to enter the contest or can you just go to this website? Cause honestly I'm not sure even the prospect of owning a brand new Camaro is really going to make me spend any amount of money on this horrible abomination of a movie.
@Jesse Mrozowski: Dunno yet. We'll find out when we buy our copy.
So are they going to do an extra-special edition DVD for when the car is actually available?
@Jesse Mrozowski: I think nationally-run contests have to have the "no purchase required" stipulation, the idea being that it is fair for anyone to enter.
That Camaro is downright FUGLY.
I predict the Camaro model will be mothballed again within 4 or 5 years.
But I want a Firebird
What a weird little face it has. Klaatu meets Roger Rabbit.
I am a Chevy Women, I had a chevy camaro 89 for 12years and it still runs but someone else owns it. I am a camaro devoted women, the 2009 is so beautiful it is the bomb I would just be on a cloud in a Red Chevy Camero. even at 60 i would feel 30 again in the seat of a camaro. fords are disposable nothing nothing beats the chevy camaro in all aspects. thank u for letting me have my say yea for bringing out the camaro again yea the best. marion
the 68 to 71 camaro was the best camaro's built. I'd had each one of them the 1969 supersport was the sweetest and fastest. Many tickets in that one. haha
