All cladded up like a staff car for the Swedish mafia, this now-common Mercedes E-Class tester has apparently been transported up north for freeze-out testing. It's the next-generation W212 E-Class sedan, set to debut in 2009 as a 2010 model. We're assuming job one for Dr. Z is to raise the quality of Merc's midpriced model line, which has seen some shoddy merchandise slip through in the previous two generations. Expect it to take on the family resemblance introduced in the latest C-Class. – Mike Spinelli
