You can tell a lot from looking at a car's dash binnacle. When we were just a wee Jalopnik, we thought the top number on the speedo signified how fast a car went, which meant we spent part of the 1980s under- or overestimating what cars could do when pinned. The M3Post-ites have a shot of the new M3's dash, which indicates its new V8 will rev to a screaming 8,500 rpm or so, which is anti-climactic for M3 heads, who were expecting the red zone to start at 9,000. We'll bet there's already a chip in the works...
