Back in the heady days of the late 1970s (think "Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park") Pontiac built a concept car based on the concept of the English shooting brake. It was a Firebird station wagon, labeled as model "K" for kammback, which is German for "uglier than Tom Petty's drivers' license photo." Two models were constructed in Italy by Pininfarina for GM's vice president of design, David Holls. The car was never produced (it would have cost up to $25,000 in 1978 money, or like $75,000 today), but specialty auto builder, Deco International, offered a conversion package for $15,000 to Firebird owners.
