We've always loved Jets to Brazil's "Chinatown" it's equal parts San Francisco and Los Angeles to us; a product of time and place. And for better or for worse, it takes us back to being 22 again. So as long as we're talking contemplation, freeways and California, we thought we'd mention that BLDGBLOG's got a kinda neat meditation on car chase culture here in LA, as well as the attendant surveillance culture that it feeds.
