It used to be called the Miata. Now it's the MX-5. In Japan they just call it the Roadster, and Mazda's pleased as punch that it won Japan's Car of the Year. So pleased, in fact, that they're releasing a commemorative edition with leather seats, a Bose stereo, and a fender decal denoting the car's achievement. We're waiting for DCX to launch the Jalopnik Car of the Year, 2nd Place Edition Charger R/T over here. Comes with free gas for a decade and a stack of CDs from old SST bands that nobody in their right mind would wanna listen to. Painted Willie, anyone? Should be available any time now. Really.
