We completely forgot to include this evergreen rumor among our recent rumor-veracity polls (maybe it'll be slotted into the wildcard round). Since November, we've been hearing talk of Nissan bringing its Japan-only, front-drive Cube to the states to spar with Scion's xB. According to AutoWeek, a new-generation of the literal econobox is on the horizon, which could be receiving some US-spec tooling. We're hoping the new version will keep its techie's dream date e-4wd system, which uses a system of electric motors to power the rear wheels if oversteer is detected. The company still has yet to confirm its plans to ship the Cube stateside.
