The US-bound GTI, as many have figured, will be powered by VW's 200hp 2.0T four, hooked a standard six-speed manual or optional quick-as-whoops DSG auto-manual. Speed freaks will lament the nanny that kicks in 130 mph. A fully-independent sport-tuned suspension will translate road into nervous energy, and VW says it's improved rigidity up to 35%. Still, no word on release date..
