    Utah Police Driving Mustangs

Police in American Fork, Utah are making the switch to leased Mustangs, noting that the cars are more fuel-efficient than previous patrol vehicles, lose less of their value during the lease term and cost less to begin with. We think it's safe to assume they're talking about the V6-powered 'Stangs. Over ten years ago, the CHP used five-liter Mustang LXs as pursuit vehicles, but eventually switched to LT1 and LS1-powered Camaros. Now with the death of the GM's F-car platform, we wonder if we'll see the Chippies back in Mustangs as well, or if they'll simply switch to Chargers, due to the more-than-adequate horsepower and convenience of two extra doors. Ponch? Jon? Any word?
