Toyota wants to assure off-roaders its new FJ has the goods to tromp around in the woods. Edmunds Inside Line reports Toyota will offer an off-road-specific version of its new FJ Cruiser by mid-summer 2006, following the March release of the FJ. The special edition will reportedly have more capable shocks, tires, wheels, and performance features. A de rigeur white roof will be standard at launch, but the company is considering offering a painted roof, as well as a convertible version in the future.
