An automaker rep told us recently the Chinese market is shaping up to be more like the US than anyone had expected. And that means brands like Audi and BMW are scrambling to increase their presence on the mainland. Take the recent Automotive News report that BMW would first show its new flagship sports car concept in Shanghai. Now Audi says it will unveil a "compact performance SUV" this week at the show. The hot-ute will drop at 11:15 Greenwich Mean Time tomorrow, which is 6:30 am East Coast time. We'll be here, bleary eyed and cereal'd to bring word.
