As Los Jalops toil away, feeding our content into this series of tubes, we sometimes feel neglected by the ink-stained wretches who, like, do newspapers. But no more! First SeƱor Bumbeck makes the Los Angeles Times, and now Herr Loverman, our resident Tatra Faurecia expert, is getting quoted in the Holland (Michigan) Sentinel! [Holland Sentinel]

You're welcome, Lieberman -- glad I could help to make you as famous as you are...something.
Hmm. I'm originally from Holland, and one of my good friends lives in Baker Lofts. Guess I will have to check out the Faurecia "North American Innovation Center" when I return home for Thanksgiving tonight!
"Jalopnik, an e-magazine and weblog about cars"
How nice of the Holland Sentinel to give me this definition that I can use to explain Jalopnik to my grandparents.
Big deal, I've been in the paper before...
Sure, it was under "Police Beat" and it involved an inflateable vampire and a 78 Chevette.
Jonny and Jalopnik have truly arrived.
@Ray Wert: did you mistype or do i misread...? I think you really meant youR asS
Mr. Loverman SHABBA
@cgraham: Are you insulting me? Or Ray? Or both?
What, was Ruggels not available?
Nicely done Jalops
This photo should have been in the Sentinel. That gun would have had a Yellow Supra-like effect on the panties of all those uptight blonde western Michigan girls named -stra.
@jonnylieberman: nope, just interjecting with dry wit. I enjoy your TTAC reviews and look forward to finding more of your publications in the future.
@jonnylieberman: oh and just incase you misunderstood, i meant that ray should have said 'your welcome, glad i could make your ass famous...'
@cgraham: That wasn't witty at all. Not even dryly witty.
Shockingly, I have to agree with Ray.
ha ha ha
Don't they teach those kids in J-school anymore to put the important stuff (like the Loverman mention) in the lead paragraph?
And the love fest continues....
Jonny, It's all downhill from here, after making it to the hallowed heights of the Holland Sentinel, 8th Paragraph down, one sentence....
Were you paid per word? Well done Sir.
@Rust-MyEnemy: Paid?
"Weird is always good." A motto to live by.
@jonnylieberman: Ah, right place, right time. Sounds like they got a bargain.
@jonnylieberman: Nevertheless, we Jalops all love you for all you do, and the Holland Sentinal doesn't know they've only scratched the tip of the iceberg (okay, mixed-metaphor, whatevs...)
"Jonny, Jonny, he's our man...
He can do what no man can..."
(Adapted from a dinner roast cheer for a good friend of mine in charity fundraising. We actually had bimbo blonde types in cheerleader outfits do the cheer -- the audience was GLBT, but the women loved it).
PS -- Loverman, were you going for a "Pulp Fiction" look in that photo Murilee posted? It actually kind of works for you.
Now I am going to make sure my doors and windows are locked before I turn in for the night...
Good On Ya, Boy!!!
Now only if you guys could get old media to read Jonny's review of the RS4, there would be some truly awestruck Hollanders in the E-Zineverse!!!
Cheers!
Heh, and I thought "weird is good" only applied to movies and sex. Good Job, Jonny. You're doing so much more for the Lieberman name than a certain asshole, er, I mean Senator I know...
Is our Loverman the same as loverman@vkool.com? He had the most amazing intro on the Web around 1998 (remember "Skip Intro" buttons?) at www.vkool.com/loverman. A poem "Annabel Chong, where are you?" (Wikipedia her) appeared, linked to some trippy science fiction imagery, which linked to "The Six Million Dollar LOVERMAN". Alas, the Internet Archive Wayback machine can't cough it up.
