Official Car Pundit Drinking Game
Apparently folks across the pond are as enamored with our fearless leader as we are. The BBC's asked him to get in front of the camera for the
second time today. Watch him tonight at 7PM EST on BBC America. He'll be talking about what everyone else is talking about — the not-so-Big Three's homework from Congress. For now, let's get some rules started below the jump in the comments!
audi a5 convertible
The
2009 Audi A5 Convertible, the latest in a long line of four-seat Audi soft tops, appears to have gotten a bit of an early unveil thanks to a photo leak onto the net. The most notable feature is the canvas roof, bucking the hard-on-top trend made popular by Mercedes, BMW,
Lexus IS250C and
Infiniti G37 Convertible by going soft up top. This means less weight, less complication and more trunk space. But it’s not this model we’re excited about. No, we're excited because there’s a
2009 Audi S5 Cabrio too.
Update: The Audi A5 and S5 Cabrios have been officially unveiled. The official shots are in the galleries below, while the official press release, complete with official US specs is officially after the jump.

Project Car Hell
Welcome to
Project Car Hell, where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! Last time, the '72 Stutz Blackhawk blackjacked the Buickborghini and stuffed it in the trunk, for disposal in a hole in the desert later on (the way so many Blackhawk owners in Vegas solved their problems back in the day), according to the 71% of you who
voted that way in the Choose Your Eternity poll. Today we're going to go with a couple of choices that allow me to use not-often-seen-in-PCH flags in the poll: Romania versus the Soviet Union!

Commenter Of The Day
All day we've been banging to the sounds of the Clipse mixtape for their upcoming
Till The Casket Drops and enjoying the numerous references to cars, clothes and just about every product you can imagine. One of the bloggers over at the
Sound of the City compared it to William Gibson's post-Web 2.0 sci-fi book
Spook Country, which is notable for its many shout outs to niche clothing brands as well as to the sexy and stealthy understated luxury of the
Volkswagen Phaeton. It doesn't hurt the band is launching the tape in conjunction with the release of their own clothing line. Diversification! It's more proof stylish kicks and expensive whips go together like hammer pants and a
Nissan Xterra. Just ask
Rust My Enemy, who has seen this before.

Drifting
Autocar UK's road test editor Steve Sutcliffe has a strange obsession of the sideways kind. His perverse purpose is to try and drift just about anything with wheels around his slice of test tarmac. His most recent offering to the tire gods is a diesel
London Cab. Hit the jump to see the clip.

Carpocalypse Now
November car sales numbers are coming in and they’re what you expect them to be — horrendous. Ford is
down 31% month-to-month with last year. Toyota fell even further at
33.9%. That's successful compared to GM's
41% drop. Even Honda is
down 31.6%. What's going on?
