The next-highest ranking companies were Peugeot, with 65,440 recalled and Ford, with 61,000 called back in for defects. Mercedes spins the recalls as stepping up a campaign to address quality issues, but shouldn't there have been a campaign for quality all along, especially from one of the most vaunted brands in the world?
