General Motors Death Watch: Zeta Platform Killed

velite_buick.jpgGeneral Motors announced today it is x-ing out plans to bring a new line of cars based on its rear-wheel-drive Zeta platform to North America. The move, which will reportedly free resources aimed at speeding to market a new line of full-sized pickups, closes the book on the hotly anticipated Buick Velite roadster, Pontiac GTO and a revamped Chevrolet Camaro, which were expected to have hit the market in 2008. Now it begins, people. First they come for your sports cars, then they flood the market with pickups; after that, it's your daughters. We're already stocking up on Glocks, ammo and canned soup. We may be bunkered in for a few years.
