Owners of 2000 model F-150 pickup trucks, Expeditions and Navigators might want to pack a fire extinguisher under the seat. Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 800,000 of the vehicles on reports that a defective cruise-control switch may be linked to fires. Ford officials say the company will notify vehicle owners about the recall in February, and dealers will deactivate the cruise control switch for free until a replacement is available. For everyone else, park near a Hyundai.
