Taking a break from his acting and stand-up comedy roles, DaimlerChrysler Gro e K se Dieter Zetsche laid on his idea to help the US to break what Dubya's called our foreign oil addiction. Dieter says if 30% of the US auto fleet were diesel, that'd be enough oil saved to cover what we import from the Saudis. And of course, Dieter is also anxious to sell many, many of his new Bluetec diesels to freshly fuel-price-conscious Amis. Will the Amis buy? Dieter hopes so. Dieter certainly hopes so.
