Chrysler to Launch Heritage Edition 300C in Los Angeles

Chrysler is remembering its 1957 Chrysler 300C "Beautiful Brute" properly (or at least trying to help us forget how the last-gen front-drive 300 really wasn't much at all like the old 300C), with a special edition 300C it plans to debut at the Los Angeles Auto show next month. The 2006 Chrysler 300C "Heritage Edition" will get red-white-and-blue badging similar to the original, and it'll be the first Chrysler product to sport the SmartBeam headlamp technology found on several Jeep models, including the Commander. The Heritage 300C will be powered by Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi with Multiple Displacement System (MDS) and sport a package of options including 18-inch chrome wheels, performance suspension, five-speed AutoStick, SRT-inspired front seats, two-tone interior and 368-watt Boston Acoustic seven-speaker sound system with subwoofer. Three exterior colors will be offered, including Brilliant Black, Cool Vanilla and (at extra cost) the Inferno Red Crystal Pearl shown, which is exclusive to the model. All that stuff will set you back around $36,000. [Thanks to Zerin for the tip.]
