Breaking! Ford Announces 34% Drop In US Sales

This is what we love about FoMoCo. Not only do they serve us sales figures fairly straight up, they even provide fun little graphics for us to use...like the one to the right. That's correct, we didn't create that — it came directly from Ford PR. Wasn't that nice of them? Unfortunately, the numbers aren't quite as good as FoMoCo's always-smiling PR folks — car and truck sales were down 34% in July due to comparison with a tough number the Dearborn automaker had to beat because of them dang employee discounts. Luckily car sales weren't off all that much...only 7%, but truck sales...truck sales sucked, down 44%. More importantly, sales of the F-Series pickup, the company stud — off 46%. But hey, at least they've got Taylor Hicks, right?
