Autocar is reporting Audi has greenlighted the LeMans supercar, first shown in Frankfurt in 2003, for production, though carefully positioned so not to cannibalize any models from VW's Lamborghini. No word yet on powerplant for the LeMans, which is expected to hit in 2007 and cost in the $100,000 range, but the rumor mill points to a 444hp W12, or a version of the Audi RS4 s 414hp 4.2-liter V8.
