Back in 1994, our cynicism about the state of the American auto industry was in full swing. In charge of our high school's "In and Out" list in our senior yearbook, we called the Dodge Neon "in" and the Plymouth Neon "out." That cynicism was tempered by a bit of prescience, considering the Plymouth model with down with the ship back in '01. Now the Dodge model is bowing out at the end of the week, having been in a sales decline since its high of 240k in 1996. Fare thee well, noble-gassy compact; your eleven-year run was not entirely in vain. We think.
