Apparently the young lad driving the Lancer in the above video (yes, we know there's no sound — suck it up, it's worth it) is a wee bit off-course on this here rally circuit. Ok, actually, his name's Adam Kahin, and he tried to commit suicide last week in a way we've never heard of before — by crashing his car into a mall. Normally we'd suggest using a more high-po vehicle than the one he's chosen. We'd also suggest more of a hard stationary target like a brick wall than the glass doors and the perfume kiosk of a mall in Seminole County, Florida. But oh hey, he came closer on the second try, again though — a bit more speed and he coulda totally made that jump into something more spectacularly devastating than surviving and having to live through the embarrassment of being "that guy."

It's not hard to kill yourself. There are many, many routes one could take to do a good and thorough job. People like this that "attempt" to kill themselves are really just looking for attention and don't actually want to kill themselves. Just finish the job you pussies and rid us of your presence.
BTW, I can't wait to get my "Save the Enzos" t-shirt that I ordered two weeks ago...... ;)
He was just trying to get the best parking, you know, the spot right in front of the RadioShack.
women drivers.
Sure I'd like a shirt too, but...

What you don't like big people or what?
Yeah, I agree with Harbl. He should have disabled the airbag, found a straightaway, hit 110 and made friends with a telephone pole.
Anyways, he may have been just seeking attention but people like this need serious help. I know of a few people who are suicidal and while they look normal, they are beyond screwed up.
But this kid was just not smart...
Hate to say it, but he got the concept of "deadmalls" all wrong.
Anyway, thanks to the courts he should get some kind of psychological help. Whether it's the help he needs, time will tell.
I laughed when I noticed that as he drove his Japanese econobox towards the mall, the automated doors began to open, inviting him to his death.
He should have totally Five-Oh grinded that escalator.
I've done the same so many times at North Point Mall, after killing a security guard at Gash and stealing the Infernus on display. I wish they'd left the video running as the flames creep up and the car explodes.
Thanks for bringing back happy memories of Vice City!
^^ha ha. you know that was exactly the same thing i was thinking the first second i saw this video
"New Oldsmobiles are in early this year."
An EVO would have made the escalator at least.
"...the perfume kiosk of a mall in Seminole County, Florida."
The Florida jokes write themselves really...
Funny thing is I don't think his insurance will cover any of it because this was intentional and insurance doesn't cover intentional acts. Sure the mall's covered, but the mall's insurance will come after his butt. Oh, plus he lost his car.
If he wanted to die before, I bet he'll really wanna die when he gets a $100,000 bill from the mall and has to work the rest of his life to pay it off... and that's if they don't sue him for loss of holiday sales, too.
Stupid 19 year old kid, parents probably bought that new Lancer for him too.
As if the human body is such a difficult thing to kill too, some people love needless complication. A well-placed gunshot to the head, (preferably in the shower so its easy to clean) would have worked fine, with the minimum of drama.
But, I suppose drama was all this attention craving idiot actually wanted - probably one of those whiney emo types.
Should have used an old dodge police car. It would have worked better.
This reminds me of the kid who tried to kill himself when I was in college. Threw himself off a bridge, only to land in shallow water and break a bunch of bones. Some people can't do anything right...
