Hoon of the Day: That Was a Bad Idea; The Bowling Ball Ramp Incident

It seemed like a good idea at the time. Set up a small skate ramp along a deserted highway, then roll a bowling ball out of a moving car and over the ramp, thereby allowing it to pull big air. But get the angle of departure wrong (or terribly right), and you're looking at a serious friendly-fire incident involving a fast-moving Brunswick 16-pounder. Maybe the subjects hadn't seen Richard Linklater's "Dazed and Confused," the movie that planted the idea of bowling-ball hoonage in a million impressionable minds (click through). Maybe they had. Either way, they proved a law of physics we've long forgotten.

I don't wanna get in trouble, do you Randall Pink?
