Apparently — according to the boys at Truckblog — there's a very clear inspiration for the Dodge brand logo. We're of the opinion there's probably more of a phallic Joe Camel-like muse for the brand that used to be all about grabbing life by the horns. [TruckBlog]

This diagram has been floating around for at least the three years since I first saw it.
@Paul Y: I know, but it's still pretty funny.
I'd be more impressed if that diagram had a pissing Calvin on it. Those things are so boss; additionally, they allow me to show off my blind allegiance to a particular truck manufacturer. GENIUS!
what's w/ all these comparisons w/ teh uterus? Like that License To Wed poster.
Geez, Ray, slow day? And you're normally so articulate.
I agree. This is not up to the high standards of the typical Jalopnik observation.
Consistent past excellence is a bitch sometimes.
Dodge Ram: Inspired By A Uterus?
No, but take a look at the symbols the Texas Longhorns use... ;)

Oops!! I meant to type "symbol", not "symbols"...
I have two points to make.
1.) The Dodge logo clearly wins. It has the tighter cooch.
2.) The logo on the left actually appears on the front of the Zhuanzhou Motors ZZ4512 Fragrant Tailwind pickup truck.
Appendix to 2.) I made that shit up.
"That thing got an Ovary?!"
@Ray Wert: I don't mean to imply that I doubt the comedy. I'm just surprised this is news to anyone.
Then again, look at the guys that drive Dodge trucks...
The steering wheel in my wifes 06 civic looks a great deal like the female reproductive system.
@ddsurace: "Fragrant Tailwind"
I must admit I laughed out loud.
A lot.
Are we seriously just noticing thing? haha
For whatever reasons, it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.
@taylorhempel:
And we all know there's nothin wrong with havin a lil vagina on the mind.
Never noticed it but damn, now that I look at it, it's so downright obvious!
Maybe I've been under a rock, but I have never seen this and I am now thanking god I did not test drive that dodge today...I WILL NOT dive a uterus... thank you.
No wonder why Dodge been running those macho ads.
Or else it reflects what is mostly on their customer's minds...
@TERRI:
I've been a uterus diver for years now.
I never plan to stop diving, as long as I'm able.
I highly recommend it.
Driving a Dodge? Not for me. Not this year, anyway.
Dang. I always knew there was something about those Dodge Rams that was just screaming "Chick Car!" all along.
Honda tried to copy this with their SUV, the CRV-EX
@TurboBrick: Awesome!
------
"Dodge: Grab life by the ovaries."
Ram it in there?
