The German Car Blog points us to an article in Germany's Auto Motor und Sport indicating VW's long-rumored Passat Coup is on the ticket for the 2008 model year. Sowing seeds of confusion among those wondering why it's a four-door, the mag actually means "coupe" in the sense of "coupe-like," like the Mercedes CLS. The new VW, which Photoshop-savvy readers speculated on in a Jalopnik contest earlier this year (one entry, pictured), will get similar engines to the standard-issue Passat.
