A report out of the land der aufgehenden sonne indicates Honda may finally do the unthinkable — at least unthinkable to lovers of raw VTEC iron — and recast its skyward-revving fun machine as an upscale tourer with room for two more. According to a Winding Road source, a proposal to give the next S2000 — slated for early next decade — four seats and a more sophisticated demeanor is under consideration at Honda. The new model would get an entirely new look and feel, though will retain its rear-drive setup. No greenlight yet. – Mike Spinelli
