    While it may not get the Scirocco name (Rivo is rumored) details on VW's relaunch of a new sports coupe are emerging, with AutoWeek getting the boys from Wolfsburg to go on record. According to AW the new coupe is planned for the 2008 model year, will get the same aggressive styling (minus the convertible top) of the company's Concept R prototype. Power will come from the same 247hp, 3.2-liter V6 as in the Passat, but the coupe will be built on a modified Jetta chassis. [Update: The German Car Blog posted spec images of every upcoming model expected through 2008, by way of AutoBild.]
