Is Dodge Working on a New V6 Hemi?

Now don't get your truss out 'a wack, this is all mere conjecture. We've heard from several tipsters that Dodge is rumored to be working on a 4.0-liter V6 HEMI for the 2007 Dodge Nitro and Chrysler Pacifica. The engine would replace the company's 3.5-liter V6 workhorse. Even if the HEMI part turns out to be false, word remains that Dodge's V6 replacement will (in certain incarnations) produce an uncharacterisic 300hp and be linked to a six-speed autobox for gas-saving cog swapping. Such talk has been swirling around since early this year, but with the Detroit show coming up, we're revisiting it. Could it be the Australian 265 V6 inline six Hemi of the 1970s will live again?
