{We've pulled the picture as a gesture of good faith to Land Rover and because this whole "embargo breaking" thing appears to be rather new to them. We'll call it a "gimme." — Ed.] Back in September we brought you a blurry post about the upcoming Land Rover Two-Door Concept and asked you to guess what it could be. The folks at Carscoop managed to get another photo of the mystery car in less blurry form, and are referring to it as the Land Rover LXR. Large versions of both the blurry and clear version below:
According to their sources, the LXR will be a subcompact version of the Freelander slated for debut at Detroit and launch sometime in 2011. We'll be waiting for it at the Detroit Auto Show ourselves. [Carscoop]

WANT!
I want to know who is actually going to own Land Rover
nice, bringing back the two-door SUV
probably picking up a whole bunch of people who like smaller, yet still manly looking SUV's
@rognbrow: I reckon General Mills, WalMart or Vector.
Blurry image looks like a Ford Kuga going really fast. Either that or a cameraman with really shaky hands.
To expand on my original comment, I like the idea of a small (relatively) affordable off-road car that looks like it could take anything in a fight. I just hope they cram a powerful diesel and a six-speed manual into it at the end of the day.
@rognbrow: well an Indian consortium is making bids for Jaguar and Volvo so maybe them?/
so this is going to be a rich man's Amigo I take it??
My guess is that it is a Land Rover.
I agree, I would love a two door SUV. Four doors are over-rated.
