    The 1000hp Sin City Supra

For cars, there's a kind of psychological barrier at 1,000hp. The number never looks right. Like the thrust/pounds numbers of scramjets or the BTUs generated by nuclear powerplants, it just appears too out of proportion in context of a street-driven four wheeler. Yet, here's a Toyota Supra, unremarkable (sure, it's good looking) outside of its ability to shrink Hayabusas in the rear-view without much effort — and the physics-defying engine build that makes such feats possible. And of course, there's that big, throbbing number.
